State Data Center (SDC)

The State Data Centre (SDC) will enable the State Departments to host their services and servers through the common infrastructure (like UPS power, cooling, rack space, network connectivity with security, storage, monitoring systems, and Internet) aiming at ease of integration and efficient management. SDC acts as a central repository of the State's data and provides functionalities like:

1 User Request Service Request Submission Government departments submit service requests (e.g., hosting, storage) through service request forms following official channels. User Department Service and VPN Request form. Refer Annexure- A & B. Annexure A

2 Request Analysis/Evaluation Request Review and Approval SDC Project Officer reviews, prioritizes, and approves requests based on resource availability and SDC policies. SDC Project Office and SDC In Charge SDC team evaluates the request and processes.
3 Resource Allocation Resource Provisioning/ Arrangement and configuration System Administrators allocate necessary resources, including compute, storage and network resources. And share the details requested resources and VPN (if required) to SDC Project Officer/ Incharge.in a set template. System and Network Administrator SDC operation team configures the resources as per the request.
4 User Request Acknowledgement Acknowledgement, request services and access details sharing with user department. Resources details, VPN access, and relevant policy details are shared with the user department by SDC Project office/ Incharge. SDC Project Office and SDC In Charge SDC operation team will acknowledge the user department against their service request.
5 Application / Data Deployment in Staging Server Application/Data Deployment in Staging Server using FTP Applications, websites, or data storage systems are deployed by user department or application owning department. Application Owning Department and SDC Operation Team
6 Application/Data Testing & Security Audit in Staging Server Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing by CERTIN empanelled agency Detailed application vulnerability assessment and penetration testing conducted by CERTIN empanelled agencies. Testing certificated should be shared with SDC Team for further deployment in production Server Application Owning Department Website/Application security audits (VAPT) need to done user department and share the audit certificate with SDC team for further deployment. Refer the Annexure- C for list of CERTIN empanelled audit agencies. Annexure C
7 Application/Data Deployment in Production Server Application/Data Deployment Applications, websites or data storage systems are deployed by user department or application owning department. After successful deployment of application in production server SDC Team need to share the Public IP for the application mapping in public domain. SDC Operation Team and SDC Inhouse Developer Team
8 IP Mapping and SSL Certificate Installation URL mapping with Public IP after that SSL certification need to be install immediately URL mapping with Public IP by DITC domain mapping team. After completion of domain mapping SSL certificate need to be install immediately. Domain Mapping - DITC Domain Manager, SSL Installation - SDC Inhouse Developer
9 Backup and Monitoring Setup Backup Configuration and Monitoring Backup schedules are configured; monitoring resource usage, performance and security. System, Network Administrators and Helpdesk Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly backup scheduled.
10 Disaster Recovery Backup and Disaster Recovery Testing Regular tests are conducted on disaster recovery plan, data/service availability and backups to ensure data integrity, availability and recovery readiness.
Note: DR services will be available to the user departments on receiving confirmation of 100% completion of application deployment in SDC.
Disaster Recovery Team (Comprise of System, Network admin, SDC Incharge and SDC Project Officer) After successful deployment of application and receiving the application deployment completion confirmation from user department SDC operation team will configure the DR services for the same.
11 User Feedback User Feedback against SDC service delivery SDC Team should take feedback from service user department. User Department and SDC Team User department need to send the user feedback to DITC & SDC team. Refer Annexure-D for user feedback form. Annexure D
12 Reporting Performance and SLA Reporting Monthly and quarterly reports on SLA, performance and incidents are maintained and circulated. SDC Project Officer and SDC In Charge
Additional Activity Incident Management Incident Detection and Resolution Incidents are detected, categorized, and resolved per Incident Management SOP and escalated if needed. NOC/ Incident Management Team
Maintenance and Changes Scheduled Maintenance and Change Management Scheduled maintenance is conducted with notifications. Change/update requests are processed per Change Management SOP and Request. System Administrators/ NOC/ Change Management Team
Decommissioning Service Decommissioning and Resource Release When services are no longer needed, they are decommissioned, data is handled as per retention policies, and resources are freed. System Administrators Decommissioning of website/application from SDC will be done only after receiving the written request from the user department.
